What should I photograph before handing over equipment?

Before handing equipment to someone else, photograph its overall condition, identifying numbers, accessories and any meter or status readings that matter.

What to keep

  1. Overall equipment from useful angles.
  2. Serial number, asset tag or model details.
  3. Existing scratches or visible wear.
  4. Accessories, chargers, cases or included parts.
  5. Meter, hour or status readings where relevant.
  6. Handover message, receipt or acknowledgement.
